Who We Are
Avalon-Aitkin County is a licensed, outpatient chemical dependency program focused on whole-person healing.

Who We Help
We provide chemical health services to men and women 18 years of age and older in Aitkin County and surrounding areas.

How We Help
We treat the whole person by integrating the mind, body and spirit. We offer flexible programming based on each person’s needs, strengths and abilities. The length of stay is also flexible and determined by each person’s progress and level of functioning.

To achieve substance-free living, we use a variety of proven treatment activities including: group therapy; individual counseling; educational films and lectures; skill-building workshops and concerned person conferences. Our caring staff works closely with each individual as well as a range of community resources to build a support system that promotes long-term recovery and a healthier lifestyle.

About Our Program
Our first step in whole-person healing is a pre-admission interview where we conduct a psychological and social history review. From there, we begin creating a personalized program based on two levels of intensity.

• High intensity meets three days a week, 3 hours a day,
generally for 24 sessions.
• Low intensity meets one day a week for 2 hours,
generally for 12 sessions.
