Who We Are
Avalon-Pine City is a multi-cultural, licensed outpatient substance abuse program for adults in Pine County.

Who We Help
We provide chemical health services to adult men and women who reside within Pine County and the surrounding areas.

How We Help
Our flexible program allows each person to continue to engage in employment, education, family and community obligations while learning about their addictions and its affects on their lives. We offer a variety of whole-person treatment services that help each individual gain the necessary tools to assist him or her in the recovery process. These include: relapse prevention skills, anger management skills, living skills, social skills, spirituality, stress management, nutrition education, relationship and communication skills, self-esteem and recreational therapy.

Our staff works closely with each person to help achieve success in recovery through individual, group and family counseling, educational films, lectures and individualized treatment plans. We also work closely with a range of community resources to build a healthy support system that promotes long-term recovery.

About Our Program
We are abstinence-based and draw from:
• Motivational Interviewing
• 12-Step Principles
• Health Realization
• Reality Therapy
• Cognitive Skills Training
• Family Systems Dynamics
• Relapse Prevention Models

We utilize a step-down model, with individuals moving from high to low intensity as their level of functioning improves.

• High intensity – 3 hours of treatment, 3 nights per week for approximately 7 weeks
• Low intensity – 2 hours of treatment one night per week for approximately 12 weeks.
