Compassionate Hearts, Professional Services, Respectful Environment

Project Turnabout was founded as a nonprofit organization in the early 1970s to help people with alcohol and drug use problems. In 1991 Project Turnabout developed the Vanguard program for compulsive gambling. Over the years we have continued to grow and evolve, never losing site of our mission -- to encourage and support healing through programs and services that are both effective and affordable. In every service our quality is driven by an experienced and caring team committed to their responsibility to help and be of service to our patients/clients.

A Complete Continuum of Care

Our complete continuum of programs includes outpatient and residential treatment options, separate programs for men and women, extended care, halfway/transitional living, family services, and educational and prevention programs. All are designed to help people find hope, begin recovery, and develop and implement a healthy plan for life.

We understand that environment plays an important role in the recovery process. Our beautiful campus in Granite Falls offers separate care units, a meditation center, and recreation facilities in a quiet, safe location in southwestern Minnesota. Outdoor recreation and walking trails through the natural prairie setting augment the active program components with time for relaxation and reflection. The facilities that house our other services carry over the same attention to detail.

Vanguard, our nationally recognized residential program for compulsive gambling is the only one of its kind in the state of Minnesota and one of a few available nationally.

We invite you to review our website to learn more, view photos of our facilities and explore what we have to offer to both those in need of treatment as well as their families and communities. Our FAQ page will help answer many of the most common questions.
